AMCO monitored alarm saves the day (again!) for betting shop

July 21st, 2010 by chris

Once again our monitored alarms save the day for one of our business customers. Over the weekend, one of our betting shop customers in the North of England had their premises attacked early in the morning. The burglars smashed through the metal shutters of the shop, however when they entered the property our alarm was activated.

Seconds later, our remote monitoring station was listening in and verbally challenging the burglars via a speaker microphone unit in the shop. Identifying that a burglary was in progress, our monitoring station called the police immediately, who – in turn – react speedily, sending a 5 police response vehicles and a helicopter to hunt down the suspects, resulting in successful arrests.

So – good job all round.

AMCO interactive monitored alarm + immediate police response = bye bye burglars!

Why ADT alarm monitoring service is not very good

June 28th, 2010 by chris

It’s true to say that not all alarm monitoring is equal.  And we’d argue – on strong grounds – that our “interactive alarm monitoring” is far superior to the kind of “call-back alarm monitoring” that companies like ADT install in the UK.

So, give we’re a competitor of theirs, what are our arguments for why AMCO alarm monitoring is far better than ADT’s?  Well here’s some of our arguments why AMCO is better than ADT, and a comparison or systems:

- We provide “interactive alarm monitoring” as standard, rather than ADT’s standard  “call-back monitoring”.  This means our alarm systems are much more secure – as we can immediately listen-in and talk into the house when the alarm is triggered, unlike the “call-back” systems which require telephone verification.

- We don’t have stupidly high call out charges, unlike ADT who (from the customers we speak to) say that they’re constantly annoyed at how much they have to pay when their alarm needs seeing to.

- We don’t insist our customers sign up to long 3 year contracts and charge much less for our monitoring services.

- And finally, we’re generally our staff are much nicer, and don’t go in for all the hard-sell tactics that companies like ADT go in for ; – )

So there you go.  Why we’re better than ADT.  And if you want more info on our systems, check out: www.alarm-monitoring.co.uk

Small business alarm success!

May 24th, 2010 by chris

We provide monitored alarms to 1000’s of small businesses across the UK.  So it’s always nice when we get great feedback from our clients telling us how our alarm monitoring is saving them money and (in some cases) lives!

A couple of weeks back one of our clients shared a story with us of how their shop had been broken into late at night.  The burglars smashed their way into said shop, and seconds later – as our alarm monitoring kicked in – we challenged them verbally over the system, and shocked at being talked to (in the dark!) they ran off empty-handed.

No that’s the kind of reaction we like!  And importantly, that’s the kind of reaction no other alarm system has – as our interactive alarm monitoring is a great way of scaring off burglars.

CCTV system prices CUT by over £200!

April 10th, 2010 by chris

Some good news!  We’ve just slashed the prices of our monitored CCTV systems by over £200, from £995+VAT to £765+VAT.  The reason?  Well, as always we like to pass all our savings directly onto our clients, and thanks to some great bargaining by our lead buyer we’ve recently cut some great deals with our suppliers in the Far East which means we can significantly cut our costs.

The great thing about the technology market these days is that it’s become massively competitive and massively efficient.  This means that prices are constantly being lowered.

And true to our mission to provide the “best security at the lowest prices” we can pass these savings on to our clients – making everyone happy – apart from maybe our Far Eastern suppliers ; – )

Another alarm monitoring success in North London!

April 7th, 2010 by chris

Last night we’re pleased to report our super AMCO monitored alarm systems stopped more unwitting burglars from burgling one of our customers in North London.  Against all odds I have to say!  As in our customers sleep-induced-stuper, when the alarm was activated and we challenged him via the speaker unit in his house, he gave the all clear and said everything was OK (without checking) – even though someone had broken in downstairs.

Anyway, our verbal challenge seemed to work – and scared off the would-be burglar.  As the next day, when our customer came down to his kitchen he discovered a broken window, signs of initial entry BUT more importantly signs of immediate and quick exit – as they obviously legged in once they heard our AMCO alarm activated.

Job done!  1-0.  1 to AMCO.  0 to the burglar.
