1
x Central Control Unit (CPU)- this is the
electronic brains of the alarm system. It is normally
located in an out of the way place (loft, cupboard, etc)
in order that intruders cannot find it in the 5 to 10
seconds that they may have after entering through an
authorised route.
-
1
x Audio Communication Processor (ACP)
- this is the automatic communication centre which
transmits the electronic signals to our monitoring
personnel (MP) and enables them to listen and speak
to anyone on the premises.
-
1
x fused spur - this safely connects the CPU
to your electricity system in order to provide a safe
mains supply
-
1
x re-chargeable battery - this is on permanent
charge and supplies the back-up power to the system in the
event of an electricity failure. It is remotely monitored
through the ACP and any low battery is reported to
the person looking after the property by our MP.
This provides warning of prolonged electricity power cuts
in the property.
-
1
x AMCO high profile alarm box - these are for first line
intruder deterrence purposes
-
1
x Remote Key Pad - this is a small wall mounted
telephone type pad that can be set or part set by pressing
a single button. It is unset using using your own secret 4
digit code. (This obviates the need to use fobs or
proximity detectors that can easily be lost, mislaid, lose
battery power or otherwise fail.)
-
1
x Combined speaker/microphone unit - this is
fitted in an inconspicuous place somewhere in the centre
of the property (normally in the entrance hall). When the
system is in alarm, it enables our MP to listen
into the premises and to broadcast warnings or give audio
assistance as appropriate to the signals and information
received.
-
1
x Magnetic door contact - this is normally
attached to the entry door. It can be programmed to
"chime" whenever someone enters even when the
alarm is off, thus providing additional security when a
property is occupied.
-
3
x Passive infrared movement detectors (PIR) - these
are suitably located to detect any unauthorised human
movement (we fit "pet friendly" detectors if
pets are present) - normally 3 on the ground floor and one
on the landing.
-
1
x Emergency "panic" button - this is
"live" 24 hours a day, even when the alarm is
switched off. It is normally located near stairs and
between entry points in case of accident or threatening
behaviour.
-
1
x ADSL Filter - this is fitted if required for
broadband
