How to setup your CCTV on your PC

The following is a quick guide on how to set-up CMS (CCTV management software) software on your PC - to enable you to view your CCTV system remotely via your computer.  N.B.  CMS is the software that AMCO's standard CCTV systems use.

1) Install CMS

Ensure “English” is selected as a language.

2) Once installed, open CMS

3) If you are prompted with a Login screen, click “OK”, you do not need to change the user or password information.

4) A new window will open up, before you can view your CCTV, you must add its connection details.

Click “System” in the bottom right menu

5) Click “Device Manager” in the right side menu

6) A new window will open, click once on “Zone List” to highlight the row, then click “Add Area” on the top menu of this window.

7) A new window will open, enter a description for your zone here, in the “Zone” field. Then click “OK”.

8) Click once on your newly created zone area to highlight the row, then click “Add Device” on the top menu of this window.

9) A new window will open, here is where you can enter the configuration of your CCTV system.

Device Name

Enter a device name to describe your CCTV system (e.g. Home)

You can choose one of the following options, selecting one of the following will require further information. If you are not sure of these details, please contact AMCO for assistance.

Once complete, click “OK”. If the details are correct and accepted you will go back to the Device Manager screen.

10) On the left side of the screen, double-click on your newly created Device Name to connect.

11) Once connected, you are able to connect to your cameras by right-clicking on your Device Name then selecting “Connect all video(Main Stream)”.

If you have a slow internet connection, select “Connect all video(Extra Stream)”.

The CCTV cameras will then be displayed.
