Geeks wanted (North Yorkshire-based)
If you know your IoT from your iOS; if you’re a lover of Reddit or a watcher of Robot Wars; if you like nothing better than modding drones or re-speccing your computer; if you’re a Woz fan or a Jobs-hater (or vice-versa) then this is the job for you.
AMCO Security are the UK leaders in Smart Security technologies, and are in the process of expanding our technical product, sales and support teams at our Easingwold (North Yorkshire) headquarters. All roles require serious technology know-how. This doesn’t mean that you’ve necessarily trained in electronics, but you should be passionate about the technology space. You should be someone who links tinkering with tech, whether it’s pull apart a computer, tinkering with a Raspberry Pi or writing code.
We have a range of potential roles available (both full-time and part-time), but the underlying commonality is that you need to be a lover of tech (and live in commuting distance to Easingwold).
Open roles include:
> Tech support: we have customers all around the country who have our alarm and CCTV systems installed and who call us whenever they’ve got a problem. We need people (like you) to solve their problems.
> Technical Training: we have alarm / CCTV engineers across the country who we need to make sure are trained to the highest level, so they can continue providing the best support / experience for our customers. We need people (like you) to help train our team.
> Technical sales: we may have the best products, but we need people to help sell them. We lead with an ‘expert sell’ approach, meaning that people buy from AMCO because we’re trusted as experts in our field. We need people (like you) to help sell more of our market-leading products.
We can teach you the specifics of the technology that we use, but we can’t teach you how to love geekery / technology, so don’t worry if you don’t know anything about smart security systems.
Get in touch if AMCO sounds like the type of company you’d like to work for - either now, or in the future. Or if this role isn’t for you, then please do share it with someone it might be right for.
We have a rolling set of open roles at our Easingwold HQ. If you're interested in joining our team, please email your CV with a covering email to firstname.lastname@example.org
