Case Study: Intruder Fled Empty-Handed After AMCO Alarm Activation
A would-be thief broke into a commercial property in North East London, monitored by AMCO, at around 10:12pm on 5th June. He left without taking anything.
What Happened
The intruder broke in and began searching the property for valuables in the dark, unaware that he had triggered an AMCO monitored alarm. One of our monitoring staff was already listening in through the property's speaker system and could hear him moving around.
Our operator then challenged him directly, demanding he identify himself. Startled, the intruder fled the premises immediately.
The Outcome
Police attended the scene and confirmed the intruder had left in a hurry, and are investigating further using forensic evidence left behind. The business owner later confirmed that nothing had been taken or damaged.
