Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel most agreements with AMCO within 14 days of signing, without needing to give a reason. We honour this in full - but because some of what we provide is a physical installation and a live monitoring service rather than a simple product delivery, exactly what's refunded depends on what's already been supplied to you by the time you cancel. The breakdown below covers the three parts of a typical AMCO order.
1. Equipment
If you cancel within the 14-day period, you'll receive a full refund for the equipment itself, minus any costs we incur in removing it from your property. Removal costs only apply if the equipment has already been installed and needs to be taken back out.
2. Installation and engineer time
Installation is a custom service carried out specifically for you, and once an engineer has attended and fitted your system, that time and work has already been delivered. For this reason, the cost of the engineer's installation time itself is not refundable, even within the 14-day window. If you cancel after installation and want the equipment taken back out, an additional removal charge may apply on top of this.
3. Monitoring service
For the ongoing monitoring service, you'll receive a full refund of the remaining contract value, minus the value of any monitoring you've already used up to the date you cancel. In other words, you only pay for the monitoring cover you actually had.
