What alarm system do I have?

Moved into a new property, or just not sure what's fitted on your wall? Recognise your system by brand below, then see how AMCO can service, upgrade or fully replace it.

Common UK alarm brands and ranges

Most UK homes and businesses have one of a handful of brands fitted. Find yours below.

Honeywell Galaxy

A long-running UK panel range, available in both wired and wireless variants.

Galaxy panels are found in homes and businesses across the UK, usually with a Honeywell-branded keypad. If your alarm was installed some years ago by a national provider, there's a reasonable chance it's a Galaxy panel underneath.

Pyronix / Scantronic

Several model variants exist, including the 9100, 9600, 9800 and 9427, plus the Karizma and i-on ranges.

Pyronix and Scantronic panels were widely fitted by installers and larger providers over the years, so the exact model can vary a lot even within the same brand family. The keypad or control panel label is usually the quickest way to narrow down which one you have.

Texecom

Recognisable by the Veritas and Premier keypad ranges.

Texecom is one of the most common brands fitted in the UK today, including by AMCO. If your keypad looks like a Veritas or Premier model, we have dedicated identification and user guides for both.

Risco

The Infinite Prime and Agility ranges - largely wireless-focused systems.

Risco panels are often identified by an Infinite or Agility badge, or by their keyfobs. AMCO has dedicated guides for the Infinite Prime range if that's what you're working with.

Menvier & GardTec

Older, more basic model ranges still found in plenty of UK properties.

Menvier and GardTec systems tend to be older installations. If you've got a GardTec panel and are thinking about what comes next, we have a dedicated upgrade guide.

What comes next

Service, upgrade, or replace

Once you know what you've got, AMCO can help in one of three ways.

Servicing

Keep your existing system maintained and working reliably, whoever installed it.

Upgrading

Add features like app control or LiveTalk monitoring to a panel you already have.

Upgrading an old alarm

Full replacement

Move to a modern AMCO system entirely, with your old panel removed.

Accenta upgrade guide

Several ADT-installed systems use these same underlying brands - see our ADT alarm upgrade guide if that applies to you.

Common questions

Send us a photo of your keypad or control panel and AMCO can usually identify it for you over the phone or by email, no obligation.
In many cases, yes - AMCO can take over servicing and monitoring for a range of existing third-party panels. Get in touch with the brand and any model details you have and we'll confirm.
Many ADT-installed systems use the same underlying panels described above (Galaxy, Scantronic, Accenta and similar). See our ADT upgrade guide for what your options look like.
It depends on the age and condition of your current system. AMCO can advise whether your existing panel and sensors are worth keeping, or whether a full replacement makes more sense.
