Add-on equipment

Additional monitored alarm equipment & add-ons

Already have an AMCO monitored alarm? Here’s the optional equipment you can bolt on to extend it - smart cameras, CCTV, monitored smoke detection, panic buttons and more. Looking for the core panel and hardware specification instead? See our alarm system equipment specifications.

Extend your system

Optional extras for an existing monitored alarm

Each of these can be added to a system you already have - our engineers will confirm exactly what’s compatible with your current panel and monitoring setup.

LiveViz monitored smart cameras

LiveViz integrates directly into your existing LiveTalk monitoring, so our monitoring team can pull up live video and audio to verify an alert before deciding what happens next. You can also self-monitor the same cameras from a smartphone app whenever you want to check in.

CCTV system & CCTV monitoring

Professional-grade wired CCTV, with 2MP or 5MP camera options and DVR/NVR recording, plus remote access from your smartphone. If you already have a compatible CCTV system, third-party monitoring can often be added to it without replacing the cameras.

Monitored smoke alarm

If you already have smoke detectors fitted, they can often be integrated into your existing LiveTalk monitoring. Where that isn't possible, we can install new monitored smoke units instead, so a fire alert reaches our monitoring team the same way an intruder alert does.

Monitored personal attack buttons

A fixed panic button or a wireless handheld version - both signal straight through to our monitoring team, giving anyone in the property a discreet way to raise an emergency alert away from the main keypad.

GSM back-up communicator

A cellular back-up path that keeps your alarm signalling even if the phone line or broadband connection goes down. It matters more than ever now: BT closed its Redcare signalling service on 15 December 2025, and the UK's PSTN phone network is being switched off nationally by 31 January 2027 - a GSM back-up is the resilient path once landlines go fully digital, not just protection against a cut cable.

Additional dummy bell-boxes & window stickers

A simple, low-cost way to add extra visible deterrence around a property - additional dummy bell-boxes and AMCO window stickers make it obvious the property is protected, without any extra monitoring equipment to run.

BT Redcare has already stopped operating (closed 15 December 2025), and the UK’s wider PSTN phone network is being switched off nationally by 31 January 2027. If your alarm still relies on a phone line, a GSM back-up communicator - or a full switch to IP signalling - is worth arranging sooner rather than later. See our analogue-to-IP switch-over guide for the full picture.
